Caroline Fenton takes a look at three sets of teams; Georgia, Utah, and Florida State, seeking to determine which teams are set to bounce back and which teams will face some hard times following the end of the 2023 season.

And thus, the question was, who could recover for this 2024 season?

For the Georgia Bulldogs it is difficult to argue that after a 12 in one season last year they are back on the rise and yet they did not make the playoffs and that has become the norm in Athens in Georgia should be back in the championship talk this year with Carson Beck entering his second year and with Mike Bobo’s offense which he did very well in the second half of the season last year, plus one of the best teams in the country

Another team that could bounce back is Utah and their 2023 season was plagued with injuries that left them with an eight and five record in an awful offense but starting quarterback cam rising is back and is healthy for year five with great targets.

The youths have tagged themselves as having big and bruising defensive fronts and this season should be no exception if the youth can stay fit.

The first season In the big 12 Look for them in the CFP One team that can let down this year after the unpleasant end to the 2023 campaign is Florida State.

The Seminoles lost quarterback Jordan Travis leading rusher Trey Benson and their three leading receivers, Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson and tight end Jem Bell defensively, they’ll have to replace three of leading sackers, defensive tackles, Braden Fisk and Jared Verse and linebacker Ken DeLoach.

That is a lot to say the least.

The Seminoles’ roster is hardly lacking for talent, especially with former Clemson and Oregon State signal caller DJ U.

And there is a lot of stock placed in head coach Mike Norvell, but the knoll may be just too new to get back to the form of last season.
